My Story
My love for pens, writing and drawing goes WAY back! When I was a child, and I got a good report card, my grandparents would take me out to dinner to celebrate and would always let me go shopping a choose a small gift. And I ALWAYS chose a pen. From there, I've always had a "pen problem"! I drew and lettered a lot when I was young. Then, I started working at Hy-Vee, a regional grocery store chain. Eventually, I started making the signs and also painted the front windows of the store - that's probably where I learned to write backwards! *Fun fact* - I can write backwards - the letters and the words - from right to left. I have worked in the customer service and sales functions for over twenty years, and have always wanted to do more with my lettering skills. In early 2024, I decided, "Why not now?", and voilà, Twilight Sun Studios was born on Leap Year Day!
